The workshop will focus on the key elements and processes involved in setting up a sound, practical and ethical marketing strategy and action plan. Learning outcomes:

Identifying & understanding the benefits of a structured marketing strategy and plan for small to mid-size practices Why it's better to be more strategic and less opportunistic in the way we find new projects - and how to do that Understanding the key elements of a good marketing strategy and business development plan - including social media Learning about a 4-stage framework you can use to create your own marketing and communications plan. A workbook is included with workshop notes, group tasks, questionnaires and guidelines for setting up a practical marketing plan and way to promote a small to mid-size practice.

Group Tasks:

Participants will work through at least 3 group tasks and leave with a clear practical framework with guidelines for a workable marketing plan for their practices. There will be 3 Formal CPD Points available for architects, with certificates sent to attendees. This workshop also complies with other professional CPD requirements like AIQS and Fair Trading NSW.

The content of this workshop is specifically linked to the Architect's Accreditation Council of Australia (AACA) National Standards of Competency for Architects, and addresses the Unit of Competency of 'Practice Management' and the Knowledge Domain of 'Communications' - Performance Criteria 9.8.
